Thanks for writing, Cindy...very interesting information from Dr. Lippman. Dare I try it?? Sounds crazy, but maybe there is something to it. I'm all in for better aging. And what's the worst that could happen? I can always button up and warm up!

Happy New Year, Sheryl! Lots of food for thought in your post here. You noted how it's almost impossible to avoid the cold winter weather if you live in the northeast (or upper Midwest, like I do). So true. The good news is that exposing ourselves to cold temperatures regularly is great for longevity, better aging, and makes us healthier -- at least that's what I read in an article by Dr. Frank Lipman. Lipman recommends going outside with your coat open for a while every day. Sounds crazy, but there's science to back it. I remind myself of that whenever my snowbird friends send me photos of themselves walking the beach in Florida ...
